About Maurizio

Maurizio grew up surrounded by family and faith, and he carried those values into everything he did. Together with his wife Maria, he built a home where love was the first language, full of warmth, laughter, and the beautiful noise of four children. He was the kind of man who made everyone around him feel seen.

He found joy in the simple, irreplaceable moments: sharing a big family meal, cheering on his beloved Capitals and Redskins, or tossing a ball in the yard with his kids. He showed up for the people he loved, fully and joyfully, every single day.

Scarlett, Jude, Bibiana, and Gianluca knew a father who was endlessly patient, quick to laugh, and even quicker to embrace. He believed in them completely, and he never let them forget it.

On November 8, 2025, Maurizio passed away suddenly, leaving behind a void that words cannot fill. He was taken far too soon. What remains is his love, woven into his children, into Maria, into everyone whose life he touched.

This fund was created by those who loved him to ensure that his children, and children like them, never have to choose between grief and opportunity. It is a small act of honoring someone who gave so much.
